Sudden Turn of Events

I had a funny post planned for today, involving the size of the zipper on low rise jeans. I then learned from a friend on mine that another mutual friend had been arrested last week.

This friend is one of the most patient, kind and gentle people you will ever meet. She was arrested on first degree murder charges. I'm still in shock. Even if she is guilty of what they are accusing her of, I'm not sure it rises to the level of first degree murder.

I suspect that there may be another side to the story that the media has not been given, or is willing to share. I wish there was something I could do for her.

  1. There's always 2 sides to a story, pity of it is we usually only get to hear one of them.

  2. True. Part of me thinks they must have some evidence to have charged her with first degree murder, and not child abuse homicide. Not that one is better than the other, but...

The other part knows the kind of person she is (A truly amazing human in my mind, who has overcome a lot of crap that life has thown) and I think their must be some other explanation - the kids involved were just recently adopted from Russia and already had a LOT of problems anyway.

Of course this is happening in the same state that issued kidnapping charges against a father who didn't want his son undergoing chemotherapy for cancer without a second opinion. The kid was given 2-3 months to live. Charges were dropped when the second opinion was optained by the father after he fled with his son to another state, adding felony fleeing charges to the list, and it turns out the original diagnosis was wrong. The kid is still as healthy as can be, and to my knowledge an apology has never been issued by the all knowing government.

  3. If the Gov't apologizes then it means they acknowledge they made a mistake and EVERYBODY knows the Government NEVER makes a mistake.
