All Comments Welcome!

I found this gem, courtesy of Chino Blanco, over on Main Street Plaza.

I have a number of thoughts about it, but I'm interested on hearing yours.

There are a few clues in the video, as to the source behind it.

And by way of comedy... I think I shall dedicate this embedment of the video to Morgan Mouse and Travel Vixen.

  1. Wow, thanks for that UK, most enlightening to see how some folk think. I have no words.
Actually (who am I kidding) I have lots of words - wars, floods, earthquakes, political instability, anger, infidelity, guilt, anxiety .... do these folk think none of those things ever happened before now? Honestly?
Well, I suspect you know my "decision" and I look forward to finding out if I'm right.

  2. "how some folks think"... The funny thing I don't think they do, and therein lies the problem.

I found it particularly ironic too, that in the midst of a presentation which at it's heart uses fear to motivate, the element of fear is given as one of the reasons to choose their solution.

And of course I use solution very loosely here, since they didn't actually provide one - at least not one with any substance.

The problem with a solution based on a non-existent being, is that the non-existent being has a number of interpretations. There are however signs in the video as to which invisible friend you should choose though!

I'll go into this in a forthcoming post on my other blog, but the presentation was put together by a group of Mormons from Arizona, the artwork is by a predominant artist in Mormon Culture whose work has been showcased by the Mormon Church's own book store.

The kicker for me was the font used... It has an uncanny resemblance to the official font used by the Mormon Church, and may well be the exact same font. I found this particularly telling, since they don't let anyone use that font - including their own employees. The fact that they have it, and are not currently facing legal action by the Mormon Church I think speak VOLUMES!!

I suspect my decision is the same as yours!

  3. Of course, I just realised, if I;m right I'll never know :)
As for the font, it is sans-serif, I much prefer a serif-ed font!

  4. I'm not sure where I stand on the whole serif debate... I tend to go both ways, depending on how I feel at the time...

Sure, if you're right you'll never know, but if you're wrong...

Well, Hell's gonna be one happening place as far as I can tell!
